Feb. 13th, 2008 05:08 pm| Your Candy Heart Says "Get Real" | You're a bit of a cynic when it comes to love. You don't lose your head, and hardly anyone penetrates your heart.
Your ideal Valentine's Day date: is all about the person you're seeing (with no mentions of v-day!)
Your flirting style: honest and even slightly sarcastic
What turns you off: romantic expectations and "greeting card" holidays
Why you're hot: you don't just play hard to get - you are hard to get |
Interestingly, 2 years ago, this was my answer:
| Your Candy Heart Says "First Kiss" | You're a true romantic who brings an innocent hope to each new relationship. You see the good in every person you date, and you relish each step of falling in love.
Your ideal Valentine's Day date: a romantic dinner your sweetie cooks for you
Your flirting style: friendly and sweet
What turns you off: cynics who don't believe in romance
Why you're hot: you always keep the romance alive | Leave a comment

| Oct. 5th, 2007 01:12 pm A short (work) day I work 1-9 today, which means I only spend 1-5 at my desk. So, not sure I'll have my desk quite to the state I'd been hoping for by the end of the day, but oh well.
I was going to come in earlier today, but I decided to spend the morning at home. I accomplished a few things - washed and put away about half the dishes, cleaned and vaccuumed the living room, folded a small bit of laundry. And, caught up on a couple hours of TiVo. I'm so glad for the start of the new season so that I have more things to watch, but sometimes, it's a bit overwhelming. I should probably cut some shows out. Hmm. But what would they be? Oh well. I'll deal with that later.
Anyway, the house is almost ready for company, but I'm going to have to do a few more things when I get home tonight. Sigh. The work is never done.
My sister arrives tonight - well, tomorrow morning, to be exact, some time in the wee hours. It will be nice to have her around for a while - but I don't know what Leah will do when she's not busy counting the days til she gets here, lol.
Speaking of Leah, her teacher, Mary R, has a new helper in her MWF morning classes - Angie. Dude. WTF. They must be really hard up for money for her to apply for that job. I mean, seriously, wouldn't that be uncomfortable, to have your husband's ex-wife's best friend for a boss? I'd think so. Certainly would cut down on co-worker chit-chat, I'm sure!! Anyway, she starts Tuesday, so we'll see how that goes.
I wanted to rearrange furniture this weekend - move my couch and entertainment center downstairs, and turn the upstairs into more of a sitting room. But, I don't know if I will or not - if Terry really did move in, I think I'd want the separation that having the TV upstairs would give me. So, we'll see.
Ok, off to work. 4 comments - Leave a comment

Dec. 27th, 2006 03:06 pm| You Are Grape | You are bold and a true individual. You are very different and very okay with that. People know you as a straight shooter. You're very honest, even when the truth hurts. You are also very grounded and practical. No one is going to sneak anything by you. People enjoy your fresh approach to life. And it's this honesty that makes you a very innovative person. |
| You Are a Dreaming Soul | Your vivid emotions and imagination takes you away from this world So much so that you tend to live in your head most of the time You have great dreams and ambitions that could be the envy of all... But for you, following through with your dreams is a bit difficult
You are charming, endearing, and people tend to love you. Forgiving and tolerant, you see the world through rose colored glasses. Underneath it all, you have a ton of passion that you hide from others. Always hopeful, you tend to expect positive outcomes in your life.
Souls you are most compatible with: Newborn Soul, Prophet Soul, and Traveler Soul |
| You Are The Chariot | You represent a difficult battle, and a well-deserved victory. You tend to struggle to get what you want, both internally and externally. You excel at controlling opposing forces, getting down the same path. In the end, you bring glory and success - using pure will to move forward.
Your fortune:
There is great conflict in your life right now, either with yourself or others. You must find a solution to this conflict, which is likely to be a "middle road" between the two forces. You posses the skills to triumph over these struggles, as long as your will is strong. You are transforming your inner self, building a better foundation for future successes. | 3 comments - Leave a comment

| Dec. 10th, 2006 06:28 pm weekend update Well, it's a far cry from the 448 dozen jlgard and her family made last weekend, but mostcurious and I didn't do too bad. We made a nice variety of things (though seemed to use and awful lot of peanut butter and chocolate!) and it all seems to taste good. Most of all, we had fun doing it.
Friday afternoon I had a job interview. I think it went fairly well, but they are interviewing til Wednesday, and one can never tell about these things, can one?
Anyway, Catherine and Brian got here about the time I got home from the interview. We made a couple things that night, got the kids settled, ran to wal-mart. Saturday morning the Luminarias sang from 9-12 in Brandon. Catherine brought the girls out for a while, then came back in for lunch and naps. When I got back home, we started baking. We ordered pizza for supper and pretty much spent the whole day in the kitchen. This morning we finished a couple things, and divied up the goodies. They left around 11 or something.
Meanwhile, Austin had a hockey game in town, so they swung by and picked up Leah, giving me some time alone for a while. We met up after the game, did a bit of shopping, ate, and then they left. Now Leah's taking a much needed nap and I'm debating doing some much needed laundry. Perhaps picking up and vaccuuming. We'll see if I get to that. Leave a comment
